i'm not that kind of girl

If you text me after midnight to do a rush job for you - which needs to be designed by the next morning, I'm probably not going to do it.

y'know? If I don't know you that well.

There is a level of professionalism which needs to be upheld.
It might be noted that I do care about social appearances.

I'm just not that type of designer. Sorry to let you down.

UPDATE: Nevermind, I guess I am that sort of designer.

I've noticed that a lot of people who have any sort of design or photography background use very pretentious terms even when talking about the basic aspects of those fields.

It's unnecessary.
I hope I never do that.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

in the last five years, the amount of talented young designers (actively participating in their field) has tremendously increased.

i used to starve for people with shared interests.

but now, designers are all over the place. and they are making things.
so much raw talent found buried on the internet.

i love finding those hidden treasures, but.

i just wish that with all of the things we are doing, i could see our progress a little more in physical print in our surroundings, like signage on the road and in restaurants - or even in those terrible television commercials - instead of being famously hidden away on the world wide web.

all of the bad design i see has an effect on me like motion sickness that slowly makes me nauseous. (like i have a desperate need for two-dimensional feng shui)

i think if we had a stronger effect on our surroundings, then people who aren't art-savvy might actually begin to appreciate us more. and maybe they'd even learn what it is we do.

since we all know no one really has a clue.
